Valley View Elementary School endeavors to provide field trips, workshops and assemblies for every grade level at Valley View to enrich the educational experience of all our children.

Outside Field Trips: These include the Pali Institute, Underwood Farms, Griffith Observatory, the California Science Center, the La Brea Tar Pits, Cabrillo Aquarium, Discovery CUBE, Descanso Gardens, Wildlife Learning Center, Kid Space, Cat Kid Comic Club, our neighborhood fire station, an educational trip to the UCLA Campus for our 5th graders to encourage higher education, and more. Each year provides different opportunities for learning outside the classroom.

In-School Field Trips: Since returning to in person learning, we have created a program of ‘in-school’ field trips as well. These include workshops with reDiscover in the Maker Space, an interactive STEAM museum, Bob Baker Marionettes, Reptacular, Skydome Planetarium, and many more!
